Serie A top scorer betting odds: Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored twice as AC Milan regained their three-point advantage

AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has scored twice on his first Serie A start since returning from injury, assisting his side to a 2-0 win at Cagliari on Monday as the leaders of the league pushed three points clear at the top of the standings.

In Milan's victory at Napoli on November 22, Ibrahimovic picked up a thigh injury that held him out of the team until last weekend. He returned as a substitute against Torino. Still, the evergreen Swede was fit enough to start in Sardinia.

Before adding a well-taken seven minutes into the second half, he wasted no time getting back between the posts, winning and scoring a seventh-minute penalty, bringing his Serie A goal total to 12 for this season, with just seven appearances.

The late dismissal of replacement Alexis Saelemaekers for two yellow cards received in quick succession was the only frustrating part of Milan's otherwise comfortable victory.

Milan is on 43 points, three ahead of Inter Milan city rivals and 10 ahead of Juventus champions in sixth.

Cagliari remains in 17th position and only one point above the relegation zone. In their last 11 league games, they are without a victory.
