The Board of Control has released the domestic season 2021-22 for Cricket in India (BCCI). Due to
the emergence of COVID-19 last season, not much cricket was played in India. However, this time, the
entire season has been announced, with Senior Men's, Women's, U19, and U23 teams competing from
September 2021 to April 2022.
The Senior Women's One Day League will kick off the season on September 21 this year, followed by the Senior Women's One Day Challenger Trophy, which will begin on October 27, 2021. The Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, a T20 event for senior men, will start on October 20, with the final scheduled for November 12.
Due to difficulties sustaining the bio-bubble, the prestigious first-class event, the Ranji Trophy, was cancelled last season. The competition, however, will be held this season and will last three months, from November 16, 2021, to February 19, 2022. The Vijay Hazare Trophy, a Men's One-Day competition, will be held from February 23, 2022, until March 26, 2022, the season's end.
The BCCI has also revealed that in the upcoming domestic season, a total of 2127 matches will be played at all levels, which is a big boost for the country's cricketers. The board also believes that all of the matches will be safely organized.
